What we collect
When you use DealerOffer we collect the information you give us: your name, mobile number, email, suburb and postcode; your vehicle's details (registration, make, model, kilometres, condition, history) and the photos you upload. We also collect how you found us (for example, which ad or search brought you here) and basic technical information about your visit.
Why we collect it
- To present your vehicle to dealers in our network so they can make offers.
- To send you your offers and verification codes by SMS and email.
- To arrange the inspection and purchase if you accept an offer.
- To measure and improve how the service works.
What dealers see
Dealers see your vehicle's details, condition information, photos and general location (suburb/postcode). They do not receive your surname, phone number, email or street address by default. The dealer whose offer you accept receives the details needed to complete the inspection and purchase, at the appropriate stage.
Who else we share with
We use service providers to operate the platform — hosting, SMS and email delivery, and our customer-management system. They process your information on our behalf to provide the service, not for their own marketing. We don't sell your personal information.
Security
Your offer page is protected by SMS verification. Vehicle photos are stored privately and are not publicly listed or indexable. Access to customer information is restricted to authorised staff.
Access and correction
You can ask us what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it (subject to records we're required to keep). Use the contact details on our contact page.
Advertising and analytics
We use advertising and analytics tools (such as Google and Meta tools) to measure campaigns. These may use cookies to attribute a submission to an ad. We don't send them your vehicle photos or your identity documents.
