About us
About DealerOffer
DealerOffer is an Australian platform that lets you describe your car once and have multiple licensed motor dealers compete to buy it. We built it because the normal way of selling a car to the trade gives you a single number from a single buyer, with no way of knowing whether it's a good one.
The problem we set out to fix
Selling a car to the trade has always been an information problem. The dealer knows what your car is worth to them, what it’s worth to their competitors, what it will cost to recondition and what they can retail it for. You know none of that.
So you get a number. Maybe you drive to a second yard and get another one, on a different day, after the car has done another 200 kilometres. Most people don’t bother, and accept the first offer without knowing whether it was generous or poor.
The fix isn’t complicated: describe the car properly once, put that same description in front of several dealers at the same time, and let them price it against each other rather than against you.
How we make money
Dealers pay to be part of the buying network. You are never charged anything — not to submit your car, not to receive offers, not to accept one, and not to walk away.
We think you should know that, because it explains our incentives. We make money when dealers find the platform worth using, and dealers find it worth using when the vehicles are described accurately and the sellers are genuine. That means we have no reason to inflate expectations or push you toward a particular offer.
What we deliberately don’t do
- We don’t give you an instant online valuation. An algorithm guessing at your car’s condition is not a number you can act on. We’d rather take an extra day and give you real offers from real buyers.
- We don’t list your car publicly. Your vehicle isn’t advertised anywhere. There’s no listing for strangers to find and no inbox full of lowball messages.
- We don’t hand your number to every dealer. Your contact details go to the dealer you choose, at the point you choose them. Dealers who don’t win your car never receive them.
- We don’t fabricate competition. Every offer on your page was made by an actual dealer who wants to buy your actual car. If only two dealers price it, you see two offers — we won’t invent a third to make the page look busier.
- We don’t sell your data. Read the privacy policy for the full detail.
What we ask of you
One thing: describe the car honestly. Photograph the scratch. Mention the warning light. Read the actual odometer rather than estimating.
Dealers price disclosed problems into their offers and stand behind them. Undisclosed problems get discovered at inspection, and that’s when an offer gets cut — with your car already half sold and your leverage gone. Honesty up front is genuinely the way to protect your own price.
Your offers are private
When your offers are ready we text you a link to a private page. Opening it requires a code sent to the mobile number on your submission, so the page can’t be opened by anyone who happens across the link. Those pages are never indexed by search engines and aren’t reachable from anywhere on this site.
Who runs DealerOffer
DealerOffer is an Australian business operating nationally. The platform is operated by Milej Pty Ltd · ABN 79 620 924 245.
Dealers in the network are licensed motor vehicle traders. We are the platform that connects you to them — the sale itself is between you and the dealer you choose, on the terms you agree with them.
If you want to talk to a person about your car, your offers or your data, the contact page has the details. If you’re a dealer who wants to buy through the platform, start at the dealer enquiries page.
